Finally, a Gourmet restaurant with all the fixin's (service, ambiance, flavor, etc.) in the NEK! All around an exquisite dining experience. We were seated within 10 minutes of our reservation time (Having dined at many of the finest restaurants on the east coast we understand the need to stagger seatings so the staff can give everyone the attention they deserve), the dining room is beautiful and the Baby Grand Piano is a classy touch. The staff was professional yet personable, just attentive enough to ensure we had everything we needed without intruding on our conversation. The cuisine was out of this world! The (housemade) soup went well with the (housemade) rustic bread. I had the Stuffed Pork Chop which was cooked and flavored to perfection while my wife had the Duck and described it as 'Divine'. Portions were more than ample leaving just enough room for the best Pecan Pie I've had (north of the Mason Dixon Line) and a slice of rich delicious Cheesecake for my wife. The wine selection is also worth mentioning as it has a great mix of conventional and eclectic choices.

Our order was placed and we received our soup and salad in a timely fashion. Salad was okay but cream of broccoli soup tasted as though it came from a can. Our main course left much to be desired. I ordered duck - only to find three minuscule pieces, two of which were barely edible and the third was just skin and bone. My husband ordered scallops which were too heavily seasoned and left the scallops with no taste. We then become “invisible” to our waitress. After 20 minutes we finally asked a waitress (not our assigned waitress) for a dessert menu. Then we waited another 20-25 minutes before they came by to take our order for dessert. By that time we were totally disgusted with the lack of attention to our needs and politely said that we did not wish to order dessert and asked for our check. Another long wait for the check. Then no one pass by to take our payment. Finally we noticed our waitress at the table next to us chatting with the diners. We attempted to get her attention so that she could accept our money, but she chose to ignore us. When my husband got up to hand her our payment, she was visibly agitated. She said, “I’m sorry but I’m talking with these diners”! My husband then said to her, “I’m sorry too, what does it take to receive service at this restaurant?“ She then came over to our table and said to me with a look of anger in her face, “I’m sorry, but all the wait staff here are responsible for your table, not just me!” To that I said, “Well, if everyone is responsible, no one is ultimately responsible, which was precisely the circumstance!”

WOW. My husband and I wandered into "Willys" Saturday night and we are so glad we did. We have a place in W Burke and there aren't many dining options so we were SOOOO very excited to find WIllys fine dining, fabulous atmosphere and exquisite service so close to our second home. They do recommend reservations, so we didn't get a table, but we sat at the bar, which we like to do anyway. The service was fantastic. The food superb. Everyone was friendly, the lighting and atmosphere was SO comfortable. Whats really nice about Willys is you can get a burger for $10 or a $30 chef created meal. Full bar. We started with a couple of ice cold micro brew beers on tap and the "Smoke and Cure Platter" Wow!! next we ordered our meals and just had to try the "broccoli soup". Again, WOW. We relaxed, enjoyed our first courses and chatted with eachother, the servers, and the bar tender. Next our meals came out. We had decided on two specials. I can't remember the exact name of the meals, but one was a port cutlet dish with a cheese, caraway and maybe potato between the two LARGE pieces of pork, and we had the "catch" pan seared chilean salmon with a sweet and sour sause, i think. Doesn't matter...all was DELICOUS!!!! Ok, by this time we were pretty stuffed, but we knew if the app, soup and meal was the good the desert had to be over the top....we chose the pumpkin mouse over a brownie bottom which was topped with fresh made whipped cream. OMG!!! It was a perfect meal a perfect night and we can't wait to go back!!! If you are in the Burke VT area GO!!!

In closing, why would anyone chose to go to this restaurant? We were so hopeful that this would be a delightful dining experience and one that we could frequent . We come to this area often and realize that Burke truly needs more fine dining restaurants - Sadly, they certainly do not qualify as a “fine dining experience”.

We will definitely be back to Willy's for more, in fact I saw one of their 'Artisan Pizza's' go by as we were leaving that I can't wait to try next. The only frustrating part of the whole evening was how hard it was to get in to the restaurant on a weekend night. If you don't make a reservation at least a day before you want to go, there is little chance of getting in. This is no surprise to me and of minor concern given the quality of the Cuisine and Service.

Great atmosphere, service and food! A very pleasant dining experience.

One of the most unpleasant dining out experiences we’ve ever had! Reservations were made for a party of two. We arrived at our scheduled time - were quickly seated in the waiting/lounge area and waited 20 minutes before we were escorted to our table. This table, as well as two more nearby, had been vacant for the 20 minutes that they had us waiting. We chose not to let that bother us, as we were looking forward to having an enjoyable evening at Willy’s.
